More than a pipe dream? Absolutely! Do it by taking the Master Diver Challenge– Master Diver is a recognition that puts you in a class of distinction – writing your ticket to endless adventure and opportunities through the experience and scuba training that sets you apart as a tip notch recreational diver.
The Fun Part
With the Master Diver rating, you have reached the highest non-professional level in the system of diver education and experience. It means that you have acquired significant training and experience in a variety of dive environments.
In 2024 SSI is once again partnering with Aggressor Adventures to offer the trip of a lifetime with three ways to win. The 2024 Master Diver Challenge Grand Prize is a trip for two aboard the Turks & Caicos Aggressor II live-a-board. This spectacular dive vacation offers two guests with deluxe accommodations for a week of diving beautiful sheer wall ledges decorated with massive orange elephant-ear sponges, purple gorgonians and crimson rope sponges. Each diver earning their Master Diver in 2024 is automatically entered in the contest by SSI. Since 2011 the SSI Master Diver Challenge has been an exclusinve SSI promotion to have divers earn the distinction of Master Diver.
Starting your journey over 2024 as a new Open Water Diver, it is possible to end the year as a Master Diver if you log enough dives. But even still, you can be automatically entered in other prizes by competing:
As a new Open Water Diver start by earning your Specialty Diver and be entered to win 5 days of boat diving with Key Dives.
As a new Specialty Diver, continue by earning your Advance Open Water Diver and be entered in the contest to win an 8 day trip with Aquanauts Grenada.
Get some of it done this year and then get more training and log more dives next year and be entered in next year's contest.
Prerequisites
- 12 years old
- Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification from another training organization)
- Advanced Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification from another training organization)
- Rescue Diver or Junior Rescue Diver (or qualifying certification from another training organization)
- Minimum of five Specialty Diver courses
- Minimum of 50 logged dives
