- Basic Diver - This new Try Scuba program will permit you to scuba dive for a maximum of six (6) months with a SSI dive shop for that vacation trip. Requires some pool work and one open water training dive - just $350 but requires a minimum of 2 students to run a course. Perfect for getting ready for the cruise or vacation trip and you want to do more than just snorkel or a one time scuba discovery dive. We will do your pool work for you and then you will complete the program at a SSI dive center at your destination by doing at least one open water training dive. This is not a scuba certification that lasts, but just a fun introduction to scuba where you can dive over several days on vacation with a dive professional.
